he Model 102 is designed to mount in a 1U standard rack or configured for desktop installation. This model offers two bays designed to hold up to two tape or DVD optical storage drives. The Model 102 is supported by most models of the pSeries and RS/6000.

- DAT72 (DDS Gen5) Tape Drive
- VXA-2 Tape Drive
- 40X CD-ROM drive
- DVD-RAM drive
- DVD-RAM 2 drive
- DVD-ROM drive
- SLR60 Tape Drive
- SLR100 Tape Drive
- The two bays of the 7212 Model 102 can accommodate any two of the following for iSeries and AS/400 servers:
- VXA-2 Tape Drive
- DVD-RAM 2 drive
- DVD-ROM drive
- SLR60 Tape Drive
- SLR100 Tape Drive
