The 7207-330 uses IBM SLR60 data cartridges at either 5GB or 30GB capacity points.
- Tape capacity of 30 GB native per cartridge (60 GB with 2:1 compression)
- A lower capacity 5 GB native capacity tape option that is more economical for those smaller save and restore jobs
- Data transfer rate up to 4 MB per second (8 MB per second with 2:1 compression)
- Serpentine linear recording for maximum data integrity
- Attachment to an Ultra3 SCSI LVD, Ultra2 SCSI LVD/SE, or Ultra SCSI bus – the attachment varies with server models
- Internal self-test capability
- Self-contained cartridge to help reduce wear and avoid contamination
- Flexible read and write compatibility with certain other QIC formats
